2

Signature generator FAQ

Is this signature generator really free?

Yes — drawing and typing your signature and downloading a PNG or SVG are completely free, with no sign-up and no watermark.

Is my signature uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser. Your signature is never sent to a server, so nobody but you ever sees it.

What formats can I download?

A transparent PNG (great for dropping onto documents and images) and an SVG (a crisp vector that scales to any size).

How do I use my signature on a PDF?

Download the PNG, then place it on your document — or use the Signed app on iPhone to import a PDF and drop your signature exactly where it belongs, then export a signed copy.

What about AI-generated signatures?

AI signature generation — type your name and get a realistic handwritten signature tuned to look like you — lives in the Signed app. It needs to run on a server, so it is the one feature we keep in the app.

Is an electronically created signature legally binding?

This tool creates a signature image. Whether a signed document is legally binding depends on your jurisdiction, the type of document, and the parties involved. For high-stakes legal documents, consult a lawyer or use a certified e-signature service.
